UCONN’s Mentor Connection for Talented Teens:
Hands on participation in research and creative projects involving
archaeology, chemistry, creative writing, nursing, psychology, biology,
psychology, pharmacy or physics. Students must have a cumulative GPA of
85 or above to apply. Program dates: July. Applications and more

UCONN's Pre-College Experience Program-
4 week summer program in creative writing, theatre/puppetry, or crime
scene investigation. Students must be 16 by July 1st. Application and

High School Student Research Apprentice Program
The
High School Student Research Apprentice Program is a six-week summer
program for high school students, traditionally under-represented in
American medicine, who have completed their junior or senior year and
have indicated an interest in medicine. The program provides students
with a research experience in one of the basic science or clinical
laboratories at the University of Connecticut Health Center or Storrs
campus. Participants at the Health Center must be able to commute daily.
Participants at the Storrs campus will receive housing Monday through

Wesleyan Pre-College Experience Program-High
school juniors and seniors are welcome to apply, and discover the
academic, social, and intellectual opportunities found beyond the high
school classroom. They will be members of the Wesleyan community, taking
courses alongside Wesleyan students. They may even choose to live on
campus. Other activities will include picnics, performances, movie
