Higher Order Thinking & Student Engagement at MHS

Posted Date: 09/11/26 (05:00 PM)

On Friday, students from Ms. Foley-Marszalek’s social studies class were actively synthesizing fables to determine which of Eric Liu’s six sources of power were evident in the stories. This lesson highlighted students using higher order thinking, reading and writing, and student discussion to reflect on the query, "What is power?"

Additional social studies classes ensured students used critical thinking, turn and talk, and content vocabulary for student engagement and collaboration.

Kudos to all the social studies team!!
